Drivegreen has partnered with Carbon Neutral – a not for profit organisation whose mission is to reduce carbon emissions through education and revegetation. Carbon Neutral provides information, services, tools, and products that enable everyone to implement actions to help reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to natural revegetation.

How it works
Endeavour Fleet will assess your vehicles CO2 usage calculating the number of km’s travelled and the litres of fuel used. We will then calculate the number of carbon credits required to offset the CO2, purchase the credits and retire the credits to ensure they cannot be used again.

What are Carbon Offsets
Carbon offsetting allows individuals and companies to make an important contribution to the fight against climate change. Measurable greenhouse gas emissions are offset by investing in emissions reduction projects around the world. By buying Carbon Credits you are funding important activities such as renewable energy projects, energy efficiency projects, reducing emissions from landfill, and contributing to recycling projects. These projects provide measurable, permanent and verified greenhouse gas reductions which are certified on a per tonne basis - the carbon offset or credit.

Carbon offset Credits (VER’s):
Verified Emissions Reduction Units (VERs) can be used for immediate offset and represent one tonne of CO2 avoided emissions. They are created from independently verified projects which meet the Government’s Greenhouse Friendly TM Programme requirements. We will also plant two trees per offset credit to help the revegetation process in Australia.

Trees reduce the amount of CO2 in the world’s atmosphere and also have other significant benefits including:

     • providing habitat for wildlife
     • regulating and cleansing our water
     • increasing atmospheric oxygen
     • moderating the local climate
     • preventing erosion and rising salt

Endeavour Fleet believes strongly in the benefits of biologically diverse revegetation projects which combat a variety of environmental problems. This compliments Australia’s National Strategy for the Conservation of Australia's Biological Diversity which aims to ‘achieve the conservation of biological diversity through the adoption of ecologically sustainable forestry management practices’ (Department of the Environment, Sport and Territories, 1996).

The purpose of the program is to allow fleets to remain in their current vehicles, and still be able to contribute to a clean environment by being carbon neutral. We measure, calculate, and offset CO2 emissions and bill quarterly or annually.
